Syphax Airlines has opted for its launch for two Airbus A319. Other devices of the same family will strengthen the fleet after a few years, according to the business plan of the company, including a third A319 and A320 from 2015.
With a capacity of 150 seats, the two planes arrived on the tarmac of the Sfax Thyna airport in March 2012.
Baptized “Karama” (dignity) and “El Horria” (freedom), these names are symbolic and highly indicative for Syphax Airlines for its modest contribution in the success of the Tunisian revolution.
Technically, these two aircraft will be configured into two cabins: Business Class (Jasmin Class) and Economy Class.
The Airbus A319 provides a new standard of service in markets where only smaller aircraft are operating.
Flexibility and comfort : The A319 is a slightly smaller version of the Airbus A320, cornerstone of single-aisle airliners. The A319 continued to prove its versatility, enabling carriers worldwide to benefit from its range of options and layout flexibility of his cabin.
In addition to the 124-seat configuration with a range up to 3,740 nautical miles, Airbus offers an option with a capacity of up to 156 passengers (See cabin map), a version ordered by a growing number of low-cost carriers.
The A319 has the same optimized cabin as other members of the A320 family, which is the single-aisle aircraft with the widest fuselage in the market and which establishes standards for the adaptability of cabin layout in this segment. This allows a high level of comfort with a generous seat width.
The Airbus A319 is a shortened version of the A320 (4 meters less). It has the same engine (CFM) and the same fuel capacity as the A320 which makes it a lighter aircraft with longer autonomy.
Generally configured in one or two classes, this is one of the favorite aircraft for airlines companies, who appreciate its economic character. The A319 is also one of the best selling aircraft in the world.
